Step 2

Once you receive a top-up confirmation text message, dial the access number 0330 977 9970. After hearing the voice prompt, enter your destination number in a full format followed by the # key. (e.g. 00 + country code + area code + number + #).

  3. Enter the speed dial number you want to assign to the international number between 1 to 9
  4. Enter the destination number followed by #
  5. Press 1 to confirm
  6. Next time when you want to make a call to that number, simply call the access number 0330 977 9970 followed by the number assigned followed by #

For example, if you saved the telephone number 00234912912913 to speed dial number 1, then dial the access number 0330 977 9970 then 1# to connect.

Pay As You Go Customers

Dialling the access number for the text top up service, 0330 977 9970, is charged by your UK mobile company. If you have free inclusive minutes in your mobile phone deal then the cost of dialling the access number will come out of your free inclusive minutes. If you are a Pay as you Go customer then you are charged by your UK mobile company for each minute you dial the access number.

We have a new call back service which makes it much cheaper for Pay as you Go customers to use the text top up service.

Cost: the call back service to a standard UK mobile will cost 1.5p/min extra

How Call-back works:

Step 1 – You must be a Text and Call top up customer. To become a customer –

Text CALL to 79910 for a £10.00 top-up + £1.00 FREE
Text CALL to 85787 for a £5.00 top-up
Text CALL to 88565 for a £1.50 top-up

Step 2 – When you have credit, phone the ‘call back ’ number 0330 977 9937
Step 3 – The system will either ring twice - or give a busy tone - and disconnect
Step 4 – You will receive on your mobile an incoming call from 0330 977 9937, once picked up there is a prompt saying ‘you have XX credit please enter your destination number’
Step 5 – Dial your international number.

 

So the cost for Pay as you Go customers will be 1.5p per minute more than the normal advertised price. For example, if calling USA at 1p per minute, the total cost using the call back system on Pay as you Go will be 1p + 1.5p - Cost 2.5p per minute.

This call back system is considerably cheaper than using your Pay as you Go phone to make International Calls directly.

What is Text and Talk?

Text and Talk (also known as Text n Talk and Text to Talk) service allows you to make very cheap international calls from your mobile or landline with no need to set up an account. The service operates on a pre-pay basis and calls are made using the available credit, which can be topped up on request. Service Provider: Twelve Telecom Ltd, UK Customer support: 0333 155 5030.

How do I top up?

Simply text CALL to 79910 for a £10.00 + £1.00 FREE call credit, CALL to 85787 for £5.00 credit, or CALL to 88565 for £1.50 credit. The text message will be charged to you by your mobile provider and for this we send your pin number with £1.50/ £5.00/£10.00 + £1.00 FREE credit along with the local and free phone access numbers.

How do I use Text and Talk?

Simply dial the access number (0330 977 9970) included in the confirmation text message, listen to the message, enter the full international number followed by the # key . That's it your connected.

What if I have sent a text requesting a top up, but have not received a confirmation message back?

Generally a confirmation message is sent instantaneously, however very occasionally for example at peak times the mobile networks maybe congested which means that the confirmation message maybe delayed. Do not resend the message as you will be charged twice. If after a couple of hours you have not received the confirmation message please contact our customer services team who will be able to identify what the issue is.

Are there any administration, subscription or other fees?

There is no administration or subscription fees, a connection charge of 5 pence is charged on each call.

Is there a maximum amount of top ups that I am allowed in one day?

Yes, you can not top up with more than £20.00 in one day. Customers are limited to two top ups per day.

Can I topup my balance?

Yes. Repeat the original top-up process - that never changes. If you have - for example - 20p remaining credit and you top-up with another £5.00 you now have £5.20's worth of credit to make calls. Simple!

Does my Text and Talk balance expire?

No, there is no expiry on your credit.

Tell me more about the FREE credit on the £10.00 code?

With the first use on the £10.00 code 79910 and any top ups using this code a FREE £1.00 credit will be added to your calling credit. In effect, this means you are getting 10% call credit FREE.

How can I avoid dialling the access number each time?

For convenience, you can save our access number in your contacts for seamless dialling. You can either save the number into the phone book on your phone in the regular way, or you can edit the numbers in your phone book to include the access number as well.
